General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

• Candidates must have a minimum of 40% in their 10+2 examinations from any stream, however scientific students are preferred. Students must also earn a passing grade in the English course. Candidates from the Open School are also eligible if they meet the other prerequisites.
• Minimum Age required for the course is 17 years and maximum is 35 years.

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a full-time profession, practiced by candidates who have gained the necessary skills and education from a GNM college in Udaipur. Professionals here work in care-taking and nursing, and can opt for jobs at urban and rural hospitals, clinics, healthcare facilities, and health departments, or can work as freelance health caretakers. GNM Graduates can take up social work in NGOs/NPOs that create medical awareness among backward and needy people, while also helping the ill/sick. Students who pass their class 12 examination in the Science stream and want to enroll in the GNM nursing course in Udaipur can do so. The 3.5-year program covers a 6-month internship condition. A GNM diploma program is one of the types of courses that may be used as a necessary step to a career in nursing. Graduates of GNM diploma programs can begin their jobs in primary healthcare facilities and clinics.
