Overview
This Programme of study leads to GNM diploma in Nursing offered by Karnataka State Nursing Diploma Board Examination. The Candidates who opt for nursing are necessarily required to possess high motivation towards nursing Profession. They should possess special qualities of a spirit of altruism, commitment and dedication to work with a high level of maturity. The academic year commences from the first week of September every year. Every year 60 students are admitted to this course. The students are provided with clinical experience in all clinical areas to enable the students to take up the first level positions in nursing. This programme provides the necessary foundation to take up graduate, post graduate and doctoral studies in nursing.

Eligibility
- 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However Science is preferable.
- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/State/Centre.
- Registered ANM with pass mark.
