General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

Overview

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM Nursing) is a comprehensive healthcare program that equips individuals with the necessary skills to provide quality nursing care and assist in childbirth. GNM students undergo theoretical and practical training in various medical disciplines, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and nursing principles. They learn to assess patients, administer medications, assist in surgeries, and provide emotional support. Additionally, GNM students receive specialized training in midwifery, enabling them to deliver babies and provide prenatal and postnatal care. This program emphasizes compassionate patient care, effective communication, and critical thinking skills. Graduates of General Nursing and Midwifery play a crucial role in healthcare settings, promoting wellness and ensuring the well-being of patients and newborns.

Eligibility

• 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However Science is preferable.
• 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing council.
• 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/Centre.
• Registered ANM with pass mark.
