The Diploma course in General Nursing and Midwifery is a three year programme, approved by INC and WBNC. On successful completion, students shall be awarded with a Diploma in GNM certificate.

Eligibility
- The applicant’s age must be at least 17 (seventeen) years.
- The candidate must pass (10+2) examination from any recognized Board/Council with at least 40% marks in aggregate.
- Must pass (3) in English in (10+2) examination.
- Vocational Stream
- CBSE Board: Candidates passing (10+2) in Vocational Stream must be from the Health Care Science discipline.
- The candidates passing West Bengal Higher Secondary (Vocational) Examination, who opted for “Healthcare Science” under “Community Healthcare” Group must pass in any two of the following combination of Subjects: -
- Community Health Counselor (COHC)
- Patient Care Assistant (PTCA)
- Public Health & First Aid (PHFA)
- The candidates who passed West Bengal Higher Secondary (Vocational) Examination prior to 2023 with “Community Healthcare” Group under “Home Science” Discipline with combination of 3 vocational papers namely:
- Community Nutrition
- Hospital Management
- Public Health & First Aid
- Shall also be eligible for making application for the ANM/GNM Entrance Examination, as per the notification no. WBSCTVESD/VED/748 Dated 29th January of West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development.
- Minimum aggregate considering above subjects taken together for 45% in General and EWS and 40% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/ PwD.
- Candidate must pass in English in (10+2) system.
