General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

• The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 1st October of the year in which admission is sought.
• The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
• The minimum educational requirement shall be passing of Inter-mediate Examination (10 + 2 Years Course), 10 + 2 Class or Central Board Secondary Education or a recognized equivalent Public Examination. Subjects of study must be equivalent to those prescribed by the CBSE for the class XII. English must be one of the subject.

The Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) started by the Institute has been approved by the Department of Health, Family Welfare and Medical Education, Government of Jharkhand. It is a 3 Years Course and is Affiliated to the Jharkhand Nurses Registration Council, Ranchi. The programme is very helpful to facilitate delivery of health services in both Private and Govt. Sector, as the programme helps Nurses, develop an ability to co-operate and co-ordinate with members of the health team in the prevention of disease, promotion of health and rehabilitation of the sick.
