General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

• Minimum age of Admission will be 17 years (as on 31st December of that year) The Upper age limit is 35 yrs. For ANM/ for LHV, there is no age bar.
• 10+2 with English and must have obtained minimum of 40% at the qualifying Examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State open school Recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However Science is preferable.
• 10+2 with English having 40% of mark in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
• 10+2 with English having 40% of mark in vocational Stream-Health care science from Recognized CBSE Board/state/Centre.
• Registered ANM with Pass Mark.

To prepare nurses with a sound educational programme in nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of the health team, beginning with the competencies for first level positions in all kinds of health care settings.

Documents required at the time of Admission:

• Application form can be obtained from the college office.
• Application form should be filled by the candidate's own handwriting
• Photocopies of the following documents should be submitted along with the application
• Mark list of 10+2 / PUC / or any other qualifying examination.
• Transfer certificate.
• Community certificate.
• Eligibility Certificate to be obtained from the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University and submitted by the students of other states.
• Migration Certificate for students who are qualified from outside Tamilnadu.
• Conduct certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
• Medical Fitness Certificate from Government Medical Officer.
