General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

Overview

The institute prepares students for the 'A' grade professionals in Nursing and Midwifery conducted by Karnataka State GNM Examination Board under the auspices of the Director of Medical Education and Government of Karnataka, it is approved by INC New Delhi.

The nurses completing this course will be able to :

• Demonstrate skills required in the nursing process in provision of health care and nursing of patients.
• Assess the nursing needs of individuals, families and communities throughout life, from birth to death.
• Plan appropriate action to meet their needs through completed safe nursing care.
• Prevention of illness, restoration of health and rehabilitation.

Eligibility

• Candidate should have passed 12th with any of the stream.
• Male / Female candidates between the age of 17 to 35 years are eligible.
