Overview

    The Diploma course in General Nursing and Midwifery, a 3 year programme is approved by INC and KNMC. On successful completion of the three year course the students shall be awarded with Diploma in GNM and Registration certificate separately, which entitles them to function as Registered Nurse and Midwife (RNRM).

Eligibility

    • Candidates for admission to GNM should have passed the 10+2/equivalent examination with English as one subject, minimum of 40 % marks from any recognized board. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category with pass marks are eligible for application. A Science group with Physics, Chemistry, Biology is preferable. In the absence of candidates with science groups, candidates with other groups also will be considered.
    • Candidates from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government are also eligible for admission
      Registered ANM also can apply.
    • Candidates who have passed 10+2 Health Care Science – Vocational stream from a recognized CBSE board/State/Centre are also eligible for application

    Age :

    • The minimum age for admission will be 17 years. (as of 31st December). The upper age limit is 35 years. For ANM/ LHV, there is no age bar.
