Overview
Nursing is the speciality of dealing with sick and maternity care. As a profession, it is about the provision of help to a mother during pregnancy. GNM Subjects essentially aim to produce qualified and trained general Nurses who can effectively work as part of the medical community.
The program has been designed to enable eligible candidates to address the health needs of the country, community, and individuals. They can also pursue advanced study and specialization in nursing while contributing to the health-based industry with patience, responsibility, and dedication. Students can also choose other Nursing Courses further.

Eligibility
- Candidate must be female.
- Minimum Educational Qualification passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or passed equivalent examination from any recognized Council/Board
- Age between 17 to 27 years .
- Candidate must be a citizen of lndia and resident of any district of West Bengal (from where the candidate applies) for an uninterrupted period of NOT less than 5 years preceding the date of submission of application. 5' Candidate must be able to read,write and speak in Bengali/Nepali and read and write in English.
Admission Process:
- A). Selection will be done on merit Basis
- B)Selection in subject to verification of marks from West Bengal councit of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent authority.
- C)Compulsory subjects, Languages out of which English must be one with 40% marks and best of five subjects total 45%.Three elective subjects (best three),except Environmental Education in the H.S. (10+2) or Equivalent Examination.
