Overview
- A core teaching program runs every day for 2 hours catering to all the post graduate students of the Hospital under the guidance of experienced staff.
- A mortality meet is conducted to analyze the management and pitfalls within the ICU to help the post graduates and doctors self assess themselves and thus learn.
- Trainees are given protected time to spend in other departments such as Pediatric Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Genetics, Neurodevelopment Clinics, Pediatric Anesthesia, Pediatric Surgery and other such specialties.
- Exclusive hands-on training is provided at the institute to all residents by experienced staff.

- Participation in conferences and presentation of papers – every 3 months
- Basic medical sciences – 1 Months
- Applied subjects – 15 days

- Theory Examination - includes 2 theory papers 100 marks each, two long essays (20 marks each) and remaining six short essays (10 marks each)
- Practical Examination - 2 Cases – 75 marks each
- VIVA VOCE - 50 marks
The courses is a full time tenure as per RGUHS guidelines and fellows will not be permitted to work elsewhere. Fellow would be assessed regularly as part of the structured training schedule for the fellowship in a graded manner by various consultants and professors on a monthly basis. All registrars and post graduates are encouraged (and expected) to undertake a research or audit project during their fellowship at IGICH. It can be a retrospective review, or a prospective study, or a case series. All projects will be supervised by PICU consultants. Logbook/ Diary will be maintained and supervised under the PICU consultants.

MD / DNB in Pediatrics or equivalent or DCH with Two Years Clinical Experience
Minimum Education

Admission Process:
- The fee paid by candidate will not be refunded.
- The stipend drawn by the candidate from the Institute during the period of the Fellowship program to be paid to Institute.

- SSLC Marks card.
- MBBS Degree Certificate and marks cards for all the four years.
- MD/ DNB Pediatrics /DCH Certificates / Marks Cards/ Convocation Certificate
- KMC Registration (updated qualification) Certificate.
- Application of in-service candidates should be routed through proper channel only.
- Experience Certificate if any.
Candidates will be selected from 4 member RGUHS approved panel by interview. If necessary, entrance test will be conducted. Preference will be given to candidates having three years experience after post graduation in the concerned specialty.
In the event of the candidate leaving the course by discountenance or otherwise and thus failing to complete course;
