Fellowship in Vision Therapy

Overview

The Vision therapy fellowship program is a 6 month program designed to provide intensive clinical, teaching and research experience in behavioral and developmental vision care, binocular vision, and vision therapy protocols. The fellow will have the opportunity to work with the diverse population at the orthoptics / Vision therapy clinic and the pediatric clinic. The fellow will also be trained in clinical teaching and research and have the opportunity to teach undergraduate students.
Objective:

• To understand the basic and advanced binocular vision conditions
• To understand normative values
• To make appropriate referrals
• To do a comprehensive binocular assessment and orthoptic evaluation

Main outcome measure: on completion of the course, candidate can conduct assessments for Basic Binocular Vision and Orthoptics related disorders. Can co-manage Orthoptic disorders along with the Paediatrics Ophthalmology team.

Hostel facilitiy provided for outstation / international candidates

Eligibility

Applicant should have done BS degree in Optometry (or) Diploma in Optometry/Refraction with minimum 2 years of clinical experience.
