The UAB Vascular Neurology Fellowship is a one-year ACGME-accredited program providing advanced training in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke and other cerebrovascular diseases. Fellows receive training in neurovascular imaging, neurosonology, cervical and intracranial vascular disease, outpatient stroke management, rehabilitation, and acute teleneurology, with clinical experience at UAB Hospital and Birmingham Veterans Administration Hospital. The program also offers opportunities to participate in clinical trials and conduct independent stroke research.
