The Uveitis and Ocular Immunology Fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, is an advanced subspecialty training program focused on the diagnosis and management of uveitis and ocular inflammatory diseases. The fellowship offers one year of intensive clinical training, where fellows gain hands-on experience in outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, and surgical procedures related to ocular inflammation. Training includes the use of corticosteroids, immunosuppressive agents, biologics, and management of autoimmune and infectious eye conditions. Fellows work closely with expert faculty and are exposed to complex and rare cases, preparing them for academic or specialized clinical careers. An optional second year dedicated to research is available for those interested in academic or physician-scientist pathways.
