Overview
The Skull Base Neurosurgery Fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine provides advanced training in complex intracranial and skull base surgery, with emphasis on microsurgical, endoscopic, endonasal and minimally invasive techniques. Fellows participate in operative cases, skull base clinics, multidisciplinary tumor and skull base boards, and cadaveric microsurgical training at the Center for Surgical Innovation (CSI). The program also includes clinical and basic research, surgical anatomy studies, publications, presentations and teaching activities, preparing fellows for independent skull base practice and an academic career.

Eligibility
- Applicants should be trained neurosurgeons with completed neurosurgical residency training
- Candidates should have an appropriate background in complex cranial and skull base surgery
- Applicants should be prepared for advanced training in microsurgical, endoscopic, endonasal and minimally invasive skull base techniques
- Candidates should have an interest in clinical and basic research, publications and academic development
- Applicants must satisfy the applicable University of Colorado institutional credentialing and clinical training requirements before starting the fellowship
- The program is designed for trainees seeking advanced expertise and an academic career in skull base surgery

Admission Process:
- Prepare the required application materials, including:

- Three Letters of Reference
- Submit the application to the Skull Base Surgery Fellowship Program according to the program's application instructions
- The application is reviewed by the fellowship/program leadership
- Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview
- Final selection is made by the Skull Base Surgery Program
- Selected candidates must complete the University's required credentialing, licensing and institutional requirements before beginning the fellowship
- The fellowship includes clinical, operative, laboratory and research training, with fellows evaluated semiannually by the program directors and multidisciplinary faculty
