The Selective (Surgical) Pathology Fellowship at Keck School of Medicine of USC provides advanced training in surgical pathology through hands-on diagnostic experience at Los Angeles General Medical Center, Keck Hospital of USC, and Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. Fellows perform frozen section diagnosis, intraoperative consultations, gross examination, and final pathological diagnosis, with increasing autonomy and faculty support. The program also includes tumor boards, conferences, resident and medical student teaching, journal clubs, elective subspecialty experiences, and opportunities for translational and collaborative research.
