The Fellowship in Regional Anesthesiology & Acute Pain Medicine at UC Irvine School of Medicine, Irvine is a one-year advanced postgraduate fellowship program designed to provide specialized training in regional anesthesia techniques and acute pain management. Fellows receive a stipend/salary according to the UC Irvine Graduate Medical Education (GME) compensation structure; the amount depends on the fellow’s postgraduate year (PGY) level and institutional salary scale.

Eligibility
- Applicants must have completed an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program before starting the fellowship
- Applicants must possess a valid DEA license before the start of fellowship training
- Applicants must obtain a valid California Medical License before beginning the fellowship
- Candidates should have clinical interest and experience in regional anesthesia techniques and acute pain management
- Applicants should demonstrate commitment to advanced training in regional anesthesiology and perioperative pain care

Admission Process:
- Applicants must apply through the SF Match Central Application Service (CAS)
- Candidates must submit their fellowship application and required documents through SF Match
- Applications are reviewed by the fellowship selection committee
- Selected candidates are invited for interviews conducted via Zoom
- Applicants participate in the SF Match ranking process
- Matched fellows complete required institutional onboarding and begin the one-year fellowship training program (August 1 start date)
