Fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery

1. MD or equivalent medical degree.
2. Must have completed an accredited Plastic Surgery training program before entering the fellowship.
3. Applicants should be eligible for the required medical licensure to participate in clinical training.
4. The fellowship is intended for plastic surgery graduates seeking advanced microsurgical training.

The Reconstructive Microsurgery Fellowship is a one-year fellowship for plastic surgery graduates, providing comprehensive training in microsurgery with an emphasis on free-tissue transfer for complex reconstruction of the breast, trunk, upper and lower extremities, lymphedema, and head and neck defects. Fellows gain high-volume operative experience, averaging more than 150 flaps per year, along with basic and clinical research opportunities and mentored semi-independent surgical experience at Los Angeles General Medical Center.
