Overview

The Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Sky Ridge Medical Center is a rigorous and comprehensive post-residency program that equips physicians with advanced clinical expertise in pulmonary and critical care practice. Fellows rotate through intensive care units, pulmonary function laboratories, interventional bronchoscopy suites, and multidisciplinary care teams to manage complex respiratory disorders and critically ill patients. The curriculum blends clinical experience with teaching rounds, case evaluations, evidence-based medicine discussions, and research opportunities. Fellows gain proficiency in ventilator management, critical diagnostics, therapeutic interventions, ICU procedures, and collaborative care coordination. Under the mentorship of experienced faculty, participants develop decision-making skills, leadership in acute care settings, and preparedness for board certification in both pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.
