Fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation

The Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School is a 2-year ACGME-accredited fellowship designed to train academic pediatric physiatrists in the rehabilitation of children with congenital and childhood-onset disabilities. Fellows receive comprehensive inpatient and outpatient training in conditions such as cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, acquired brain injury, spinal dysraphism, neuromuscular diseases, limb deficiency, skeletal disorders, sleep disorders, pain, and palliative care. Training includes multidisciplinary team leadership, spasticity management, prosthetic management, botulinum toxin injections, intrathecal baclofen, EMG/NCS, gait and motion analysis, and other specialized procedures. Fellows also receive dedicated research, quality-improvement, and didactic training, with the opportunity to develop individualized clinical and research interests.

3. Submit a CV.
4. Submit a personal statement.
5. Submit 3 letters of recommendation.
6. Submit USMLE/COMLEX scores.
7. Applications must be submitted electronically through ERAS; paper applications are not accepted.
8. Selected applicants are invited for the interview/selection process.
9. The fellowship is ACGME-accredited and admits up to 4 fellows (2 per year).
