The Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine provides comprehensive subspecialty training in the medical and surgical management of pediatric eye diseases. Fellows gain extensive experience in treating strabismus, amblyopia, congenital cataracts, glaucoma, retinopathy of prematurity, and other complex pediatric ophthalmic disorders. The curriculum emphasizes advanced surgical techniques, multidisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based patient care. Fellows work closely with pediatricians, neurologists, geneticists, and other specialists while participating in research, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives. Training at a nationally recognized children's hospital provides exposure to a broad spectrum of complex ophthalmic conditions. Graduates are exceptionally well prepared for careers in academic pediatric ophthalmology and specialized clinical practice.
