Fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Disease

1. Applicants must be graduates or upcoming graduates of a United States Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
2. Applicants must complete the required pediatric residency training before beginning the fellowship.
3. Applicants must meet the institutional eligibility and licensing requirements of Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
4. International Medical Graduates must meet the applicable United States training and licensing requirements.
5. Fellows must obtain the required California medical training or physician license before starting training.

The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center provides advanced training in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases in infants, children, and adolescents. Fellows receive inpatient and outpatient clinical training, including consultation for complex infections, care of immunocompromised patients, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) management, infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, and clinical microbiology. The fellowship also includes research, teaching, conferences, public health experience, and elective opportunities.

2. Apply directly to the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship program rather than through the Graduate Medical Education office.
3. Submit all required application documents through the program's application process.
4. Selected applicants are invited for an interview.
5. Applicants selected for fellowship appointment must complete the required institutional credentialing, licensing, and onboarding procedures.
6. International applicants must provide the required Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) documentation, where applicable.
