Fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology

The Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship Program at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is a three-year ACGME-accredited fellowship program designed to provide advanced training in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal, hepatic, and nutritional disorders in infants, children, and adolescents. The program offers extensive clinical experience at University Hospital at Downstate and NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County Medical Center, where fellows manage a diverse range of complex pediatric GI conditions. Training includes pediatric endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disorders, gastrointestinal motility disorders, feeding and nutritional disorders, and hepatology care. The fellowship curriculum emphasizes clinical excellence, procedural skills, research and scholarly activities, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary collaboration, preparing graduates for board certification and careers in academic or clinical pediatric gastroenterology.

2. Submit the complete fellowship application with all required documents
3. Applications are reviewed by the Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship Selection Committee
4. Selected applicants are invited for interviews
5. Final selection is completed through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) Pediatric Subspecialty Match
