Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology

• Completion of 3 years of training in an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency
• Must be board-eligible or board-certified (approved by Anesthesiology RRC)
• Eligible for medical licensure in the USA

The Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is a one-year advanced subspecialty training program designed to develop expertise in providing anesthesia care to infants, children, and adolescents. The program offers comprehensive clinical exposure to a wide range of pediatric surgical procedures, including complex and high-risk cases such as cardiac and neonatal surgeries, along with training in pediatric pain management and perioperative care. Fellows gain hands-on experience with advanced monitoring techniques, critical care management, and multidisciplinary teamwork in high-acuity settings. In addition to clinical training, the fellowship encourages participation in research, teaching, and academic activities, preparing graduates for leadership roles and board certification through the American Board of Anesthesiology.
