The UAB Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology Fellowship is a two-year advanced fellowship designed to develop expertise in the medical and surgical care of pediatric and adolescent gynecology patients. Fellows spend approximately 70% of their time in clinical training, including Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology clinics and rotations in endocrinology, pediatric surgery, pediatric urology, dermatology, adolescent medicine, disordered eating, transgender medicine, polycystic ovary syndrome, Turner syndrome, bleeding disorders, and multidisciplinary child-abuse care. The fellowship also provides 30% protected research time, with fellows expected to complete a novel research project before graduation. Training takes place at the UAB Women and Infants Center and Children's Hospital of Alabama.
