Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care

The Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine provides highly specialised training in the care of children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease requiring intensive care. Fellows gain extensive experience in the perioperative management of pediatric cardiac surgical patients, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and the use of extracorporeal life support and ventricular assist devices. The curriculum emphasises multidisciplinary collaboration with pediatric cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and intensivists. Fellows participate in research, quality improvement initiatives, and educational conferences under the mentorship of expert faculty. • MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of the required residency and subspecialty fellowship training.
• Board eligible or board certified in the primary speciality.
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure.
