Fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of an accredited Orthopaedic Surgery residency.
• Board eligible or board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure.
• Submission of a completed application, CV, personal statement, and letters of recommendation.
• Successful completion of interviews and credentialing requirements.

The Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine provides comprehensive subspecialty training in the care of athletes and active individuals with musculoskeletal injuries. Fellows gain extensive operative experience in arthroscopic and open procedures involving the shoulder, knee, hip, and elbow, including ligament reconstruction and cartilage restoration techniques. The curriculum emphasizes evidence-based treatment, rehabilitation principles, and injury prevention strategies.
