Fellowship in Oncology Nursing

The Fellowship in Oncology Nursing is a specialized postgraduate level training designed to build advanced competencies for nurses working in cancer care settings. This fellowship equips nurses with in-depth knowledge of cancer biology, multidisciplinary treatment regimens (such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery), symptom management, and supportive and palliative care approaches. Participants gain hands-on clinical exposure in oncology units, learning critical skills for assessing and managing complex patient needs and improving patient outcomes. The program also includes modules on communication strategies, psychosocial support for patients and families, and evidence-based nursing practice. Through a combination of classroom instruction, bedside clinical training, and mentorship by oncology specialists, nurses develop both clinical and leadership capabilities to contribute efficiently within oncology teams or cancer care centers.
