Overview

    This two-year fellowship programme will consist of One-year intense training at a High-volume Oncology centre at, Mumbai / Kolkata / Guwahati/Centre for Onco-Pathology-Mumbai and second year posting at ACF’s newly commissioned centres.

    • Chandrapur-Maharashtra.
    • Ranchi-Jharkhand.
    • Tirupati-Andhra Pradesh

    The 24 months fellowship training will be followed by 12months subsequent service as Specialist Senior Registrar at above mentioned ACF Centres.

    Upon the successful completion of three years of training, doctors may be absorbed as faculty / Consultants at the ACF centres.

    Curriculum

    First year: intense training at one of the high volume oncology centres. o Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai o Tata Medical Center, Kolkata o Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati o Centre for Oncopathology, Mumbai

    Second year: posting at a newly commissioned Cancer Care Programme Centre. o Centres by Alamelu Charitable Foundation (ACF), supported by Tata Trusts: Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), Ranchi (Jharkhand) Chandrapur (Maharashtra). o Centres by Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF), an initiative of Government of Assam and Tata Trusts: Barpeta, Dibrugarh, Tezpur, Kokrajhar, Darrang, Lakhimpur and Jorhat.  The third year posting as Specialist Senior Registrar (SPSR) at the above mentioned Cancer Care Programme Centres.

    Upon the successful completion of the three-year fellowship programme, doctors may be absorbed as faculty / consultants at the above mentioned Cancer Care Programme Centres. This would be subject to availability of position and ability.

Eligibility

    • Candidate should have completed MD/DNB/DMRD Radiology.
    • The candidate should not be more than 35 years age on the last date of application.
    • Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination may also apply. If selected, their joining will be considered after production of passing certificate.
    • Appearing candidates must submit their training completion certificate along with the application.
    • In case of discontinuation the candidate will be liable to pay amount of 30 lakh for which candidates will have to sign the bond document.
    • Refunded security deposit will be INR 1.5 lakh
    • Accommodation during the training at ‘High Volume Centre,’ i.e. first 12 months of the Fellowship Programme, will be provided on sharing basis.
    • To and fro cost from the place of stay at the ‘high volume centre’ location to the ‘Centre’ will be covered during the period of Fellowship Programme.

Admission Process:

    • Candidates shall pay the application fee of Rs. 500 for each subject applied through NEFT mode.
    • The proof / Details / Screen Shot of amount paid through NEFT can be shared with us at dshelke@tatatrusts.orgmentioning your name and subject applied for. The application fee once deposited will not be refunded under any circumstance. Candidates should verify their eligibility for the above fellowship program before applying and making payment of application fee.
    • Last date for online application is up-to 6.00 p.m. The candidates are advised to apply online well in advance without waiting for the closing date.
    • Separate application should be submitted for each post (Medical /Surgical/ Head & Neck/ Onco-Pathology).
    • Alamelu Charitable Foundation reserves right to cancel the program, fix minimum eligibility standard/ benchmark and restrict number of candidates called for Interview, taking into account various factors like number of vacancies, performance of the candidate etc.
    • The Alamelu Charitable Foundation also reserves the right to fix minimum eligibility standard/ cut-off marks (Group/ Stream/ Discipline/ Category-wise etc.) while finalizing the list of such candidates to be called for interview as well as selecting the candidates for final selection after the interview. The decision of the Alamelu Charitable Foundation in this regard shall be final and binding.
    • Mere fulfilling the prescribed qualifications will not entitle an applicant to be called for Interview.
