The Neuro-Oncology Fellowship at UAB Heersink School of Medicine provides specialized training in the clinical management and research of patients with primary and metastatic brain tumors. Fellows gain hands-on experience in outpatient and inpatient brain tumor care, including the use of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and emerging experimental treatments. The program also offers opportunities in clinical, basic, and translational research, including clinical trials and advanced magnetic resonance imaging research. Fellows work closely with neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, neuroradiologists, and neuro-oncologists in a multidisciplinary environment. The fellowship is offered as a one-year or two-year program
