Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging

1. Completion of a Diagnostic Radiology residency before starting the fellowship.
2. Applicants must have completed the required residency training in radiology.
3. Candidates should be eligible for appointment to a UAB Radiology fellowship position.
4. Applicants must meet the applicable training and credentialing requirements of the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
5. The program participates in the Society of Skeletal Radiology Musculoskeletal Fellowship Match.

The Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship Program at UAB Heersink School of Medicine provides comprehensive training in diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal imaging. Fellows gain experience in radiography, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, spine imaging, sports medicine, trauma imaging, and image-guided procedures. The program also includes multidisciplinary conferences, didactic teaching, journal clubs, tumor boards, and opportunities for clinical research.

1. Complete the UAB Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship application.
2. Submit an updated curriculum vitae.
3. Submit three letters of recommendation, including one from the Residency Program Director.
4. Submit a personal statement.
5. Submit the application and required documents to Dr. Yulia V. Melenevsky, Program Director.
6. Eligible applicants are considered for interviews; interviews are conducted virtually through Zoom in accordance with Society of Chairs of Academic Radiology Departments guidelines.
7. The fellowship participates in the Society of Skeletal Radiology Musculoskeletal Fellowship Match.
