Fellowship in Medical Education

1. Active California medical license at the time of fellowship matriculation
2. Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine through ABEM or ABOEM

The Medical Education Fellowship at Keck School of Medicine of USC is a 2-year fellowship designed to develop Emergency Medicine physicians into clinician-educators. The program provides training in bedside teaching, curriculum design, simulation, digital education, educational research and scholarship, leadership, and mentorship. Fellows also receive a funded Master’s of Education in the Health Professions (MEHP) through Johns Hopkins University, clinical training at Los Angeles General Medical Center and community sites, and opportunities for academic and national conference participation.

1. Applications open June 30 and are reviewed on a rolling basis

4. Submit 2 letters of recommendation
5. At least one recommendation should be from a residency program director or medical director if the applicant is not applying directly from residency
