Fellowship in Low Vision Care

Overview

This six‑month fellowship provides immersive clinical exposure in low vision rehabilitation. The curriculum covers comprehensive assessment of low vision patients, prescription of appropriate distance and near low‑vision devices (optical and non‑optical), counseling and functional visual rehabilitation involving patients and family members. It follows a multidisciplinary approach—working alongside ophthalmologists, dispensing opticians, and rehabilitation counselors—to restore functional vision and independence. Hands-on training is delivered under expert faculty supervision in both theory and practical sessions in specialized Low Vision clinics 

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Optometry with ≥ 1 year clinical experience or Diploma in Optometry with ≥ 2 years experience

Selection through application screening, skill assessment, and interview process
