Fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology

• Must have completed a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship (or equivalent accredited pulmonary training)
• Must hold an MD/DO degree or equivalent medical qualification
• Candidates should have strong clinical experience in pulmonary medicine and bronchoscopy procedures
• Must demonstrate interest and aptitude in advanced diagnostic bronchoscopy, therapeutic airway procedures, and pleural interventions
• Applicants must meet U.S. medical training and credentialing requirements
• Candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (green card holders), as the program currently does not sponsor visas
• Must be eligible for clinical appointment and hospital credentialing at Johns Hopkins
• Applicants should have academic interest in clinical care, research, and education in interventional pulmonology

The Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship Training Program at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHUSOM), Baltimore is an ACGME-accredited 1-year advanced fellowship program designed to train physicians in all aspects of interventional pulmonology. The program focuses on developing expertise in advanced diagnostic bronchoscopy, therapeutic airway procedures, pleural interventions, and minimally invasive pulmonary procedures. Fellows receive progressive clinical responsibility with close faculty mentorship, participate in interventional pulmonary clinics, chest tumor boards, conferences, and research activities. The program aims to develop future leaders in interventional pulmonology through excellence in clinical care, procedural skills, research, and medical education. An optional additional 1-year research fellowship is also available for fellows interested in academic and investigative work.

• Applicant must have completed a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship or equivalent accredited pulmonary training.

• Candidates must participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), as fellows are selected through the Match process.

1. Application Review

• Selected applicants are invited for virtual interviews with fellowship faculty and current fellows.

1. Ranking & Match Selection

• After interviews, candidates and the program submit rank lists through NRMP.
• Final selection is completed through the NRMP Match process.

1. Joining Formalities

• Selected fellows complete credentialing, licensing, and onboarding requirements before starting the fellowship.
