Fellowship in Integrative Cardiology

• Completion of Internal Medicine residency from an ACGME-accredited program
• MD or equivalent medical degree
• Interest in integrative cardiology / lifestyle-based care
• Ability to train in the U.S. (licensure/visa as applicable)

The Integrative Cardiology Fellowship at the University of California, Irvine is a one-year, non-ACGME accredited program that focuses on a holistic, patient-centered approach to cardiovascular care. Offered through the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute, the fellowship combines conventional cardiology with integrative and preventive strategies such as lifestyle modification, nutrition, mindfulness, and complementary therapies. Fellows gain multidisciplinary exposure by working with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals, including experts in dietetics, psychology, and integrative medicine. The program includes both clinical training and research experience, allowing fellows to develop skills in managing cardiovascular conditions using a comprehensive, evidence-based and personalized care approach.
