Fellowship in Infectious Diseases (FID)

Overview

This one‑year fellowship is designed to offer post‑MD/MS medical professionals focused exposure to adult infectious diseases. Fellows receive hands‑on training in clinical diagnosis, outbreak response, antimicrobial stewardship, and research‑based learning. They work within the tertiary hospital’s infectious diseases department, participate in protocol development, and may contribute to patient‑oriented research projects. It is not a degree recognized by the NMC but serves as a skill-enhancement credential, beneficial for career in private practice, tertiary referral centers, or hospital infection-control teams.

Eligibility

Must be an MD/MS/DNB graduate in a relevant discipline (e.g., Medicine, Pediatrics, Microbiology, Respiratory Medicine)

Application typically includes CV, academic documents, registration license; entry via an interview (as per external brochure)
