Fellowship In Hip And Knee Arthroplasty

The Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Fellowship at UCSF is a comprehensive, one-year advanced subspecialty training program focused on adult joint reconstruction, particularly total hip and knee replacement surgery. The program is designed to provide fellows with in-depth expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis, and operative management of degenerative joint diseases, along with exposure to both primary and complex revision arthroplasty procedures. Fellows gain extensive hands-on experience in a high-volume clinical setting, working closely with experienced faculty to manage routine as well as challenging cases, including failed joint replacements and deformity corrections. The curriculum integrates operative training, perioperative patient care, implant selection, and complication management, ensuring a holistic approach to joint replacement surgery. In addition to clinical work, fellows actively participate in research, academic discussions, and innovation, contributing to advancements in orthopaedic outcomes and techniques.
