The Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery Fellowship at Keck School of Medicine of USC is a 2-year clinically oriented fellowship focused on advanced open and minimally invasive liver, pancreatic and biliary surgery. Fellows gain comprehensive experience in the management of benign and malignant HPB diseases, including preoperative evaluation, intraoperative decision-making and postoperative care. Training includes laparoscopic and robotic HPB surgery, transplant and oncology exposure, HPB ultrasound, multidisciplinary conferences, didactic lectures and journal clubs. Fellows are also required to undertake clinical research and present their work at a national meeting.
