Fellowship in GI and HPB Surgery

Applicants should have completed MS / DNB General Surgery, fresh DNB (GI surgery) can also apply.

Duration of the Course is 2 years, full time, extendable to 3rd year as per availability of seat and performance.

The division of GI surgery has been broadly divided into HPB surgery, Colorectal and Foregut. We are high volume center for pancreatic resection, major liver resection, esophagectomy and laparoscopic colorectal resection in eastern India. We have performed the first totally laparoscopic major hepatectomy and first HIPEC for peritoneal cancer in eastern India. A robotic surgery program will start in due course. There is significant hands-on exposure for fellows. Fellows are also encouraged to participate in journal Club, MDT, mortality meet and presentation in conference. An observe ship at TMH Mumbai or any other suitable center may be included in the fellowship program.
