Eligibility
- MD / DO or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited General Surgery Residency before fellowship start
- Board eligible or board certified in General Surgery
- Strong clinical background in gastrointestinal / hepatobiliary / minimally invasive surgery
- Valid USMLE / COMLEX scores (for U.S. applicants)
- ECFMG certification required for international medical graduates
- Eligibility for California medical license prior to joining
- Strong letters of recommendation (including from surgical faculty)
- Demonstrated interest in academic surgery, research, or GI subspecialty training
