The Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is a prestigious three-year ACGME-accredited fellowship offered through the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The program provides comprehensive clinical, procedural, and research training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, and Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, exposing fellows to a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Fellows receive extensive hands-on experience in diagnostic and therapeutic upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, enteroscopy, management of gastrointestinal bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, advanced hepatology, pancreaticobiliary disorders, gastrointestinal motility disorders, nutrition, and gastrointestinal oncology. The curriculum includes structured didactic lectures, multidisciplinary conferences, pathology and radiology review sessions, journal clubs, and simulation-based endoscopy training. Fellows work alongside nationally recognized faculty and participate in clinical, translational, and basic science research with opportunities to publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international scientific meetings.
