The Endocrine Surgery Fellowship at UCSF School of Medicine is a 1-year, high-volume clinical fellowship designed to train future leaders in endocrine surgery. Fellows receive comprehensive experience in the clinical evaluation, operative treatment, and postoperative care of patients with endocrine surgical disorders, with extensive exposure to thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and endocrine pancreas surgery. Training ranges from routine procedures to complex lymph-node dissections, reoperative surgery of the neck and abdomen, and advanced laparoscopic endocrine operations. The program also provides opportunities for faculty-collaborative research in areas including clinical outcomes, clinical trials, healthcare quality, surgical technology, global health, and medical informatics.
