Fellowship in Emergency Administration and Management

1. Must be an Emergency Medicine-trained physician.
2. Should have an interest in emergency department leadership and medical direction.
3. Should be interested in healthcare leadership, clinical operations, quality of care, patient safety, and healthcare management.

The Healthcare Administration Leadership & Management Fellowship at UAB prepares Emergency Medicine-trained physicians for leadership roles, including emergency department medical direction. Fellows work with the Department of Emergency Medicine clinical operations leadership team and healthcare system leaders, developing skills in leadership and communication, healthcare operations, financial and legal aspects of healthcare, quality of care, patient safety, emergency department throughput, and coordination with other healthcare providers and services.
