Fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery

1. Must have completed an ACGME-accredited Residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
2. Must have successfully completed and passed USMLE Step 3 or COMLEX Level 3
3. Must meet the applicable University of Colorado Anschutz and Children’s Hospital Colorado credentialing requirements
4. Must be eligible for appointment as an Instructor Fellow at the institution

The Fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine/Children’s Hospital Colorado is a one-year intensive fellowship focused on the evaluation, surgical planning, and management of congenital, developmental, and acquired craniofacial conditions. Fellows gain comprehensive experience in cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, hemifacial microsomia, craniofacial tumors and reconstruction, and cosmetic and functional facial surgery. Training includes preoperative and postoperative patient care, operative management, surgical planning, multidisciplinary collaboration, resident and medical student teaching, and participation in clinical research leading to presentations or publications. Fellows also present a craniofacial topic at plastic surgery grand rounds.
