Fellowship in Complex Family Planning

The Complex Family Planning Fellowship at the Keck School of Medicine of USC is a two-year fellowship focused on advanced clinical practice, teaching, and research in abortion and contraception. Fellows receive comprehensive training in complex pregnancy termination, contraception, ectopic pregnancy management, reproductive options counseling, and high-volume abortion care. The program also includes training in reproductive health research, statistical analysis, scientific writing, advocacy, and teaching residents and medical students. Fellows complete graduate-level coursework toward a Certificate in Clinical Research Sciences and gain experience serving diverse and underserved populations across Los Angeles County.

1. Apply to the Complex Family Planning Fellowship Program through the designated fellowship application process.
2. Submit the required application materials as specified by the fellowship program.
3. Applications are reviewed by the fellowship selection committee.
4. Selected candidates participate in the interview and selection process.
5. The selected fellow must meet all Los Angeles General Medical Center GME requirements.
6. Obtain a California medical license before starting the fellowship.
7. The program is accredited by the National Fellowship in Family Planning.
