Overview

  • The fellowship program provides in-depth training in all aspects of clinical biochemistry and Molecular biology which includes general clinical chemistry, molecular diagnostics, immunology, endocrinology and tumor markers.Training timing will be 8 am to 4 pm daily.1st to 10th weeks will be training through online study materials; MCQ tests and assignments will be conducted every fortnight.11th and 12th weeks consist of didactic lectures followed by hands on training in the respective areas.13th -22nd weeks will be training through online study materials; MCQ tests and assignments will be conducted every fortnight.23rd and 24th weeks consist of didactic lectures followed by hands on training in the respective areas.The fellow will learn testing procedures (specimen collection and processing), methodology, and clinical correlation of testing.The fellow will also develop skills in management and will gradually assume greater responsibilities in the clinical service laboratories. Also gain general knowledge in microbiology, pathology and Transfusion medicine.Theory, Viva-voce & Practical examination will be conducted at the end of the training program. There will be 10 MCQ tests and assignments, all tests and assignments should be attempted with minimum score of at least 80%.80% attendance for hands on training sessions. There is no condonation for lack of attendance.

Eligibility

  • Applicant should have completed post graduation in MD/ DNB Biochemistry or MD/ DNB Pathology or MD Laboratory Medicine or MD Microbiology or M.Sc Medical Biochemistry.

  • The applicants need to submit hard copy application form and curriculum vitae to Department of Biochemistry at SRMC postal address mentioned in application form.The selection of candidates will be through interview.
