Fellowship in Body Imaging

• Hold an MD/DO or an equivalent medical degree (MBBS or equivalent for international graduates).
• Successfully complete an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency (or an equivalent radiology residency for eligible international applicants) before the fellowship start date.
• Be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois.
• Meet the university's requirements for visa sponsorship/work authorization (if applicable).
• Submit all required application documents, including a CV, personal statement, letters of recommendation, and academic/residency records.

The Body Imaging Fellowship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago is a one-year advanced subspecialty training program that provides comprehensive experience in abdominal and pelvic imaging. Fellows receive hands-on training in computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and fluoroscopy, with exposure to gastrointestinal, genitourinary, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, oncologic, and transplant imaging. The program emphasizes advanced image interpretation, multidisciplinary collaboration, image-guided procedures, research, and teaching, preparing fellows for careers in academic medicine or private practice. The curriculum also includes participation in multidisciplinary conferences and clinical decision-making to enhance diagnostic and procedural expertise.
