Fellowship in Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine

1. Applicants must have a background in anesthesiology, surgery, or emergency medicine.
2. A valid California medical license is required before starting the fellowship.
3. International medical graduates must provide a valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate.
4. Applicants must provide the required United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX) scores, recommendation letters, and other supporting documents.

The UCLA Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited clinical training program. It provides multidisciplinary intensive care training at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Fellows gain experience in cardiothoracic and surgical intensive care, organ transplantation, trauma, and other critical care specialties. The program offers five fellowship positions annually and prepares fellows for board certification in Critical Care Medicine.

1. Submit the completed application through the San Francisco Match (SF Match) application database.
2. Application period: November through February.
3. Interviews: January through March; invitations are required.
4. Submit a curriculum vitae, United States Medical Licensing Examination scores, three letters of recommendation (including one from the Residency Program Director), medical school documents, and other required supporting documents.
5. International medical graduates must provide a valid ECFMG certificate.
6. Selected candidates must clear a security background check.
7. Expected fellowship start date: August 1.
