The Bruce Connell Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship at UC Irvine School of Medicine is a 12-month advanced fellowship program focused on providing comprehensive training in aesthetic and cosmetic plastic surgery. The fellowship is designed for plastic surgeons seeking advanced expertise in facial rejuvenation, breast aesthetics, body contouring, and non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Fellows receive extensive hands-on clinical experience through aesthetic surgery clinics, operating rooms, and private practice settings, gaining skills in patient consultation, surgical planning, operative techniques, and postoperative care. The program provides exposure to advanced aesthetic procedures including facelift surgery, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, breast augmentation and lift, body contouring, injectables, and other cosmetic interventions. Fellows also participate in academic conferences, journal clubs, research activities, cadaver-based training, and practice management education to develop surgical expertise and prepare for independent careers in aesthetic plastic surgery.
