The Advanced GI Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship at UMass Chan Medical School is a one-year fellowship providing advanced surgical training in bariatric surgery, advanced foregut surgery, abdominal wall reconstruction, solid-organ surgery and hernia surgery. Fellows develop expertise in robotic surgery, laparoscopy and endoscopy, along with opportunities for scholarly and academic activities. The fellowship is offered through the Fellowship Council and has been conducted at UMass since 1997.
