Fellowship in Adult Infectious Disease

1. Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
2. Medical degree from a recognized medical school.
3. Meet the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Graduate Medical Education (GME) eligibility and institutional requirements.
4. International medical graduates must meet applicable United States medical licensing and credentialing requirements.
5. Applicants should submit a complete fellowship application through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

The Adult Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center provides 24 months of comprehensive clinical training in the diagnosis, prevention, and management of complex infectious diseases. Fellows rotate through Infectious Diseases consultation, HIV and immunocompromised patient services, antimicrobial stewardship, and research. Training also includes outpatient Infectious Diseases and HIV continuity clinics, transplant infectious diseases, and electives through Harbor-UCLA and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Fellows receive structured didactics, clinical and research mentorship, and opportunities to participate in clinical, translational, and basic research.

2. Submit the required application and supporting documents through ERAS.
3. The fellowship program reviews submitted applications.
4. Selected applicants are invited to participate in the interview process.
5. Final selection is completed through the applicable fellowship matching process.
6. Selected fellows must complete Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Graduate Medical Education and institutional requirements before starting the fellowship.
